The Travel Code explains how children and young people should behave on the school or college journey. Learning and using these easy rules can make a big difference to everyone’s day. All children and young people between the ages of 5–19 are covered by the Travel Code, whether they walk, take the bus or train, bike or even travel by car.
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
DBS is an executive non-departmental public body of the Home Office.
Welcome to the School Councils Wales web-site, supported by the Welsh Government and its partners. On this section of the web-site you will find information and support materials for adults who are involved in helping to set up and develop a school council.
